Ghost Recon Wildlands’ Year 2 Content Announced By Ubisoft

Ubisoft has announced a second year of post-launch content for Ghost Recon Wildlands, in both its campaign and PvP mode. According to Ubisoft, each ‘Special Operation’ will have its own theme, with four major updates planned in total for Year 2. The Special Operations will come with “highly community-requested features,” free missions, and challenges.

This new year of content will begin next week on April 10 with Special Operations I, adding “a campaign mission and challenge with exclusive rewards.” The update will also add a new PvP mode called Sabotage, with five maps, a new class, and new corresponding perks. Players will be able to customize AI teammates in the campaign using clothing you’ve gathered for your own character.

A Year 2 pass will be available to buy for $30, which will give players “seven-day early access to the new Ghost War classes as well as a customization pack, four Special Ops crates, and four Ghost War crates, giving them more character-customization options in the campaign and Ghost War.”

Ghost Recon Wildlands is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. More information on Special Operations I will be released by Ubisoft as we draw closer to its launch date.

Glenn Carreau: Hi! I'm Glenn: recent college grad specializing in interactive arts and media, writer, game creator and connoisseur, pop culture junkie, and semi-professional fan-artist and blogger. In my free time, I function as an unnecessarily specific gaming encyclopedia. I also play the violin, binge crime/detective procedural shows (still not sure why), and do a large amount of digital painting. I'm probably too attached to Dragon Age, but not really inclined to do anything about it. I'm a huge fan of cosplay, foxes, the prose of Jenny Lawson, and Strong Female Characters™.
