Ghost Recon: Wildlands Beta Officially Confirmed

It happened, after waiting for some time it has been officially announced by Ubisoft that Ghost Recon: Wildlands will indeed be seeing a Beta. As of right now they have not disclosed any information as to when or how players will be chosen, but you can now head to Ubisoft’s site and sign yourself up.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands is set in the near future in Bolivia. Players will be tasked with going deep into enemy territory in an attempt to take down the notorious Santa Blanca Drug Cartel. With the choice of playing co-op or solo, players will be faced with numerous challenges that test even the best operators. Below you will find the most recent trailer released by Ubisoft.

For co-op play, players will be able to join groups of 2-4 friends or random players, allowing you to jump in at any time or place. You’ll be able to play through the entire game with the same group, or change it up as you progress through the story. The cool thing about this is that if you jump into a mission online and get a new weapon, you’ll be able to leave that session, while still keeping whatever gear you find.

As for playing solo, players will be with a group of three AI-controlled operatives to assist you with your missions. Players will be able to give them orders that they will carry out with precision. Solo play will also allow players to seamlessly transfer between co-op and solo play with no loss of story progress. You’ll be able to bring all gear and supplies with you wherever you find yourself playing.

Earlier last month, Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, confirmed that there would be an open beta for Ghost Recon: Wildlands eventually. This would allow players unable to play the closed beta a chance to get their hands on the game before coughing up the money to buy it. As of right now, Ghost Recon: Wildlands is scheduled to be released March 7th of next year on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
