Today, miHoYo, the developers of Genshin Impact, announced in the Genshin Impact Special Announcement that they will be bringing the game for the PS5 with enhanced graphics, 4k resolution, faster load times, and native PS5 support including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers as well as version 1.5 update for current systems. It was mentioned a couple of weeks ago that the game would be coming this spring with some updated features, but now, fans can mark their calendars for the release of the game for the PS5 on April 28.
The open-world role-playing game was originally published in September 2020 and has sold over 23 million copies of the game–physical and digital. Set in the mystical world of Teyvat, players must navigate the seven different nations to find their lost sibling. There are multiple characters with their own special abilities and combat skills which can easily be changed during gameplay. The game is currently available for Xbox One, PS4, PC, iOS, and Android.
The 1.5 update also known as Beneath the Light of Jadeite will release with the enhanced PS5 version will feature two new playable characters Eula and Yanfei, Zhongli banner rerun, and other events. Yanfei will have the Pyro element and wield a catalyst that causes elemental damage, while Eula will use the Cryo and fight opponents with a Claymore. So, players will have the opportunity to play two new exciting characters with their own unique skillset and abilities. In addition, there will also be new boss enemies–Azhdaha, Cryo Hypostasis, and abyss Lector– for players to defeat.
