Gearbox has announced today Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box. The ultimate Borderlands all-in-one package brings six base games— Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Tales from the Borderlands, Borderlands 3, and New Tales from the Borderlands— including all DLC for the respective titles. The bundle doesn’t include last year’s Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, a standalone spin-off of the acclaimed Borderlands 2 DLC Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep.
Previous bundles for the Borderlands franchise offered from Gearbox included The Handsome Jack Collection, released in 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and MacOS, which bundled Borderlands 2 and Borderlands The Pre-Sequel with all respective DLC. Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition offered players all DLC and extra content at a higher standalone price than the Standard Edition.
The Pandora’s Box edition for Borderlands offers the entirety of the franchise at a discounted price for a limited time for $59.99, with a suggested retail price of $149.99. It’ll launch September 1st.
The bundle was previously leaked in July, after a then unannounced “The Borderlands Compilation: Pandora’s Box” was rated for consoles in South Africa.
Gearbox noted that players may already own one or more of the Borderland titles, including The Handsome Jack Collection. 2K has offered a discounted upgrade between respective platforms:
- Xbox – Those who own a digital copy of any Borderlands game on Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One can complete the collection for a special price of $30.
- PlayStation – Those who own a digital or physical copy of Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition or Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for PS4, or a digital or physical copy of Borderlands 3 on PS4 or PS5, can complete the collection through in-game instructions in any of those titles.
- Steam – If you already own a digital copy of any Borderlands game within the Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box on Steam, you’ll only pay for the content you don’t already own when purchasing Pandora’s Box, and the price will automatically reflect the discount.
2K has also announced today that Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition will launch on Nintendo Switch, on October 6th.
