Gamescom Opening Night Live returns. This year, we were made aware that we would see a variety of titles including Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Resident Evil Reqiuem, Ghost of Yotei, and more. Here is a rundown of everything that was revealed during the event.
Bubsy 4D
Starting with the pre-show, Bubsy 4D is the return of the infamous, wise-cracking bobcat, this time in 3D. This new title brings in new challenges, new moves, and even more personality.
Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes
Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes has players taking command of a fleet escaping the annihilation of the Twelve Colonies. Players will manage crises on board as they prepare for the next encounter with the Cylon Fleet.
Outlaws + Handful of Missions: Remaster
Outlaws + Handful of Missions: Remaster is a faithful modernization of the 1997 LucasArts classic, Outlaws. The remaster includes the 1998 expansion Handful of Missions, up to 4K resolution support at 120FPS, cross-play multiplayer with four action-packed game modes, a Vault brimming with behind-the-scenes content, upgraded gameplay, high-resolution textures, redrawn art, enhanced rendering, and modern gamepad support complete with a new weapon wheel, rumble, and motion/gyro controls.
Denshattack!
Denshattack! has players navigate a futuristic and dystopian Japan jumping, launching, and flipping trains on the abandoned railways.
In a world where a climate catastrophe has rendered the rich untouchable via their air-purifying domes, the rest are left to survive in the undomed wastelands of a derelict Japan. A rebellious movement known as Denshattack has reclaimed this wasteland for its own and rebuilt the broken-down sections of the abandoned legacy railroad tracks. Now, a colorful variety of underground gangs vie in territory duels. Meanwhile, the domed cities remain oblivious to the outside world, connected by a hypersonic vacuum-tube transport network called VACTRAIN, created by megacorporation Miraido, which now controls much of daily life in the country.
With over 50 levels, players will be able to drift on walls, clear massive chasms and push the limits of their ride with some absolutely sick boss fights.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction is a retro-inspired 2D brawler inspired by the iconic ‘80s cartoon. The game allows players to take control of Eternia’s beloved heroes, including He-Man, Teela, Man-At-Arms, and more, to battle Skeletor and Evil-Lyn and save Eternia from plunging into darkness.
The game features over 12 action-packed levels for players to fight through using character-specific moves, abilities, and power ups. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction launches in 2026.
Absolum
Absolum, the original roguelite beat ’em up is set to release on October 9. The game follows a group of outcast heroes in the world of Talamh which has been shattered magical cataclysm caused by ambitious wizards, leaving magic mistrusted by the common folk. Sun King Azra took advantage of this panic, enslaving wizards through his Crimson Order and placing loyal princes to rule over the conquered realms.
The new release date trailer also showcases the fourth playable character Brome, a Mowlai (humanoid frog) and wizard prodigy on a mission to preserve the future generations of his people.
Long Gone
Long Gone is a 3D pixel narrative adventure where players take on the role of a survivor stranded in an old suburban neighborhood. Explore the secret lives of people Long Gone through their forgotten belongings and platform through overgrown streets.
Valor Mortis
Valor Mortis is a first-person Souls-like from the creators of Ghostrunner. You are William, a soldier of the Grande Armée brought back from a battlefield grave. But the Europe you awaken to is not the one you sacrificed for. A mysterious plague now sweeps the continent, and you have been reborn with its corrupting power pulsing through your veins. Wield supernatural powers, battle horror monsters, and unravel a conspiracy that threatens all of humanity.
PVKK: Planetenverteidigungskanenkommandant
PVKK:Planetenverteidigungskanonenkommandant has players step into the role of a cannon pilot for an autocratic regime, confined to a defense bunker: Your mission: manually control a massive planetary defense cannon to fend off an ongoing interplanetary invasion. Master the various systems to protect your home world.
ROUTINE
ROUTINE is a First Person Sci-Fi Horror set on an abandoned lunar base designed around an 80s vision of the future. Explore and investigate your surroundings as you survive against unknown threats.
Swords of Legends
Swords of Legends is a new Chinese myth third-person action RPG adventure and the return of the Gujian series for the first time in 15 years as Si Pan, an Underworld Enforcer who’s been reborn to take his onslaught to the mortal realm. Make use of a suite of mystical techniques, divine artifacts, and powerful weapons to wage war against any and all adversaries with the aid of captured souls who will fight on the journey.
Road Kings
Road Kings has players starting as a rookie driver, encounter cunning rivals, helpful allies, dangerous weather, and treacherous roads as you take on long-haul deliveries to carve out a reputation as a veteran owner-operator in Road Kings‘ immersive world. Take control of your truck in a next-gen simulation, where every aspect matters, from weight, wear, brakes, torque, tires, and transmissions, to dynamic weather and road surfaces. Drive long distances in faithfully recreated, customizable brands’ trucks.
PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC
Pac-Man and Sonic are teaming up for Pac-Man’s latest adventure in PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC. This post-release DLC will let players experience Green Hill Zone from the original Sonic game as a brand-new stage. The loving remake of one of the most popular PAC-MAN titles launches on September 26, 2025, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. The Sonic DLC releases in Winter 2025.
Hollow Knight: Silksong
Team Cherry has reiterated that the highly anticipated sequel, Hollow Knight: Silk Song will launch in 2025. They will have news to share in a special livestream on Thursday.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
Call of Duty returns this year to Black Ops with Black Ops 7. 10 years after the events of Black Ops 2, David Mason returns, leading an elite Black Ops squad on a covert mission to the sprawling Mediterranean city of Avalon.
This year changes things up with the inclusion of a co-op camaign, and Endgame – an epic PvE experience where you’ll reach new levels of power to survive overwhelming odds.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launches on November 14.
Lords of the Fallen II
Lords of the Fallen II, the sequel to the most recent entry is set to release next year in 2026. The game takes place a hundred years after the first game’s events and will see the evolution of all of the updates that CI Games has worked on since The Lords of the Fallen 2.0 released.
Seikro: No Defeat
Seikro: No Defeat is a new anime adaptation of Seikro: Shadows Die Twice. It’ll stream exculsively on Crunchyroll.
“We are taking on the monumental task of animating the breathtakingly beautiful Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice,” said director Kenichi Kutsuna. “In doing so, we are pouring every ounce of our artistic vision and passion for beauty into its production. The main three cast members from the game are reprising their roles for the anime, with aisuke Namikawa as Wolf, Miyuki Satou as Kuro/The Divine Heir and Kenjiro Tsuda as Genichiro Ashina.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
TT Games makes its return to DC and the Batman franchise with LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. This time around, players will embark on the epic journey to become the hero of Gotham City, inspired by the 86-year history of Batman films, television shows, comics, and games.
The adventure begins with the origins of Batman as a young Bruce Wayne trains with The League of Shadows, and throughout the story-led campaign, players will build a family of allies with well-known characters including Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul to help confront an ever-growing threat from a Rogues Gallery of DC Super-Villains, facing the likes of The Joker, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul, Bane, and more.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight features a dynamic new combat system that encapsulates the Caped Crusader’s distinctive fighting style, every hit packs a punch, with fluid attack chains, counters, and over-the-top takedowns similar to the Arkham series. Players will be able to also use gadgets in combat too.
The game is set against the backdrop of Gotham City, an open-world LEGO playground full of crimes to stop, puzzles to solve, rewards to collect, and surprises to discover around every corner, down every alleyway, and on every rooftop. Players can grapple, glide, or drive through the environment, zipping from building to building with Batman’s grapple launcher, soaring over the city with the Batglider, or cruising around in style with a range of Batmobiles and Batcycles. The Batcave can also be customized to display vehicles, trophies, and collectibles, plus an assortment of wearable Batsuits based on past Batman related media.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV will feature four factions at launch with four story campaigns with over 70 missions in total. Set many years after the events of Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, war has returned to the planet Kronus, along with Captain Cyrus, Chief Librarian Jonah Orion, and Warboss Gorgutz and several new commanders as four factions fight for supremacy. Kronus features a number of distinct biomes including the Wasteland, Iceland, Highlands, Hive City & Manufactorum regions. The game launches in 2026.
Monster Hunter Wilds x Final Fantasy XIV
Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy XIV are having a special collaboration for the latest Monster Hunter title. Arriving with Title Update 3 in late September, the collab see familiar elements from the world of Final Fantasy, such as Chocobos, appear in the Forbidden Lands. Hunters can also look forward to encountering the robotic superboss Omega Planetes in an all-new narrative quest.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
A new gameplay trailer was released for Onimusha: Way of the Sword. The new trailer focused on an eerie new locale where a sinister and enigmatic entity known as Dokyo toils away creating new Genma in a secret laboratory. Her twisted new creations include the Greater Nue, a ferocious, Chimeric beast that can harness the power of lighting, the Kogashira, humans warped by parasitic Genma that can create poisonous clouds of Malice, and the Chijiko, a grotesque mass of interwoven humaan faces with far-reaching tentacles.
Capcom is also breaking down some of the combat mechanics at the core of the swordplay action. Deflect is a defensive action that reflects attacks back at enemies – including projectiles. Well-timed blocks can parry incoming attacks which staggers foes, creates openings for counterattacks, and can even knock enemies back into their allies or terrain. Blazing State is a temporary offensive power-up triggered by landing multiple parries that also generates Blue Souls fueling special attacks using Oni Power. As in past titles, the staple of the franchise, Soul Absorption returns, allowing players to absorb the souls of defeated foes recover health, enhance equipment, unlock new abilities, and more. Lastly, Issen is a high-risk, high-reward counterattack that can strike enemies in a split-second before they land a blow.
Fallout Season 2
The creators and stars of the Fallout tv series dropped by and released the first teaser for the second season. Fallout Season 2 premieres later this year on December 17.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of the Giants
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants got a new trailer for the upcoming dlc. It’s set to release next month on September 4. Players will dive beneath the bustling city of Rome as Indiana Jones to uncover the dark secrets of the Nephilim Order. It was also revealed that the game is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 next year.
Deadpool VR
Deadpool VR got a new story trailer. The Merc with a Mouth has to kidnap Marvel’s toughest villians, make them fight to the death, and rack up ratings like a blood-soaked reality game show.
Players will be able to Slice, dice, and use whatever miscellaneous body parts are lying around to fight big bads like Mephisto, Lady Deathstrike, Omega Red, and uh…Ultimo. The freeform combat system will build up Deadpool’s special meter unlocking Mojo-fied versions of iconic Marvel gear like the mighty Mojo-nir hammer or Mojo’s Crazy Cajun Cards. Players can also look forward to groove to dozens of licensed tracks.
Deadpool VR releases on November 18.
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando
We got the first look at John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando. The game is set to launch next year. Players will team up with three friends to send the Sludge God and its horde of things-that-should-never-be back to the underworld. Choose the class that matches your playstyle, pile into your favorite ride, and unload an array of gunfire, grenades, special abilities, and freaking katanas as you save the planet. The game is for anyone interested in:

Death By Scrolling is the next title from acclaimed developer Ron Gilbert. The game is a rogue-like vertically scrolling RPG where you kill enemies, collect gold, and avoid the Grim Reaper long enough to pay the Ferrymanʼs exorbitant river-crossing fee to the afterlife. The game will release in 2025.
Zero Parades
Zero Parades is the next game from ZA/UM, the developers behind the acclaimed Disco Asylum. In Zero Parades, you’re a brilliant but tormented operant on a desperate assignment. Pick up the pieces of your broken network, untangle a bloody web of intrigue at the End of History, and prove yourself on the big stage or blow it all up – again.
Neveress to Everess
Neveress to Everess got a new gameplay trailer. Players will assume the role of an Anomaly Hunter to combat enemies, explore the city, and investigate anomalies plaguing the city. The game will be available to PlayStation 5, iOS, Android, and PC.

Unbeatable, the upcoming rhytm-based adventure where music is illegal releases on November 6, 2025.
Honor of Kings: Worlds
Honor of Kings: World is a new MMO where heroes must go on a quest to save the world from a terrifying fallen god who’s hellbent on destruction.
The game expands on the lore of the world’s most popular MOBA game, Honor of Kings, with an ambitious, beautiful and immersive cross-platform, multiplayer experience featuring character development, combat and exploration.

Delta Force

Ninja Gaiden 4
Ninja Gaiden 4 got a new story trailer, focusing on the entral characters that surround the Raven Clan’s young ninja prodigy, Yakumo, and his quest to slay the Dark Dragon. . The new footage also showcased the Assassin’s Tools, a new weapon in Yakumo’s deadly arsenal.
Cinder City
Cinder City is a new MMO tactical shooter from BigFire Games and NCSOFT. The game is set to release on PC and consoles in 2026.

Time Takers is a new third-person, team-based shooter where time is your lifeline.
Silent Hill f
A new trailer was released for Silent Hill f. The new trailer features the english voice cast for the first time. The game is set to release on September 25 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
La Divina Commedia
La Divina Commedia is the new game from Italian video game developer Jyamma Games. It’s an Action-RPG with dark fantasy touches and hack and slash gameplay features.
The game is set in a world where The Divine Comedy has supplated the the old faith, bringing about a golden age of righteousness among humanity. When dark forces subvert the promises of the poem, order collapses and the world is thrust into chaos. The player will take on the role of a warrior-poet trapped in the infernal depths, called to descend through the circles of Hell, face increasingly powerful demons, and redeem a sinful past.
Cronos: The New Dawn
A new gameplay trailer was released for Cronos: The New Dawn. The new trailer showcases the brutal wastelands of the future, where the player has to fight nightmarish merging creatures and jump back in time to harvest souls as you seek to uncover the origins of the apocalypse that wiped out humanity.
The Outer Worlds 2
The Outer Worlds 2 got a new trailer focused on the companions that players will meet throught the game: Earth Directorate Agent, Niles; drone healer, V.A.L.E.R.I.E.; bloodthirsty cultist, Aza; field medic Inez; the pistol-toting Marisol; and the Warhammer-wielding Tristan.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin has officially opened up its global closed beta test (CBT) registration. The game will launch on PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile. The game is an open-world anime RPG set in the universe of The Seven Deadly Sins.
Step into the role of Prince Tristan of Liones and explore an open-world Britannia, as you embark on a journey to restore order to a world thrown into chaos by the collision of time and space.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is set to launch into early access on October 23. From day one, players can explore three unique biomes filled with enemies to battle, collect and sell over 120 relics, master four main weapons with an updated, smoother combat system, the ability to customize your shop, set prices, and keep customers happy, and experience a big part of the story with nearly 100 perks to power up runs.
Vampire: the Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 is set to release on October 21, 2025. The new trailer showcases Fabien, a character that players will experience parts of the game’s narrative. Fabien is a mysterious Malkvian detective and voice inside Phyre’s mind. Together, the Kindred solve a neo-noir murder mystery that threatens to alter modern Seattle’s vampire society.
Enshourded
Enshourded’s next update, Wake of the Water, features the long-awaited water with procedural physics. The game will officially launch in 2026.
Kingdom Come Deliverance II
Kingdom Come Deliverance II: Legacy of the Forge is the next story expansion launching in September. In Legacy of the Forge, Henry puts his blacksmithing skills to the test to acquire and repair a legendary burnt-down forge in Kuttenberg, where his father Martin, spent his youth as an apprentice.
Cult of the Lamb
Cult of the Lamb is getting a new expansion, Woolhaven. The new expansion will bring in new areas to explore and mechanics to indulge followers with.
World of Warcraft
Blizzard released the first look at the next Chapter into World of Warcraft’s Worldsoul Saga, Midnight.
In Midnight, players will embark on an epic journey through the second chapter of the Worldsoul Saga as the Void threatens our world. Xal’atath, the Harbinger poses our greatest threat as she grasps for more power and unleashes chaos in her wake with the invasion of Azeroth.
Arriving over the glittering elven kingdom of Quel’thalas, the looming Voidstorm threatens to extinguish all light and cover the world in darkness. Players will level up to 90 and explore four new and reimagined zones to uncover the heart of Xal’atath’s machinations while seeking out new allies among the light and shadows alike.
Alongside the new zones, race, specialization, dungeons, raids, an updated player experience, and slayer’s rise battleground, Midnight introduces the Prey system where players will track powerful targets throughout Azeroth and beyond. Housing is also getting introduced where players can build, decorate, and personalize their home in Azeroth while completing themed Endeavors in their Neighborhood.
Project Spectrum
Project Spectrum is a first-person horror shooter developed by Team Jade. Players will explore a dark forest with monstrous anomalies with supernatural abilities, seeking violence by any means necessary.
Ghost of Yotei
A new story trailer was released for Ghost of Yotei, showcasing more of the villians that Atsu will go against. It was also revealed that the multiplayer component from the first game, Legends, is returning for the sequel. The mode will be coming to the game next year.
Resident Evil Requiem
Resident Evil Requiem got a short demo providing a glimpse of protagonist Grace Ashcroft’s dark past. Set 30 years after the outbreak in Raccoon City,Resident Evil Requiem follows Grace on a new case where the young FBI analyst must return to the scene and face her tragic memories.
The game launches on February 27, 2026.
Black Myth: Zhong Kui
Black Myth: Zhong Kui is the next title in GameScience’s Black Myth series. “Set against the backdrop of the classic Chinese folktale ‘Zhong Kui Banishing Evil,’ Black Myth: Zhong Kui is a single-player action role-playing game rooted in ancient Chinese fantasy,” GameScience said. “The game will deliver distinctive experiences and gameplay features that push our limits, while also bringing fresh ideas and necessary changes to address past flaws and regrets.”
