gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2026 Adds Four National Pavilions, Reaching 20 Overall

gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2026 will welcome exhibitors from a record 29 countries and regions, with new national pavilions from Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and the United States expanding the event’s international presence in Bangkok.

Announced on October 15, the additions bring the total to 20 national pavilions representing 12 markets across Asia, Europe and North America. The event will take place at Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Center from October 29 to November 1, with organizers positioning it as a meeting point for developers, publishers, investors and players from across the global games industry. The four new pavilions are supported by Indonesia’s Ministry of Creative Economy, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation and the U.S. Embassy Bangkok. They join previously announced pavilions from Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain and host country Thailand.

South Korea will have the largest contingent, with six delegations led by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) and regional agencies representing Busan, Daejeon and Jeonnam. Other participating organizations include Japan’s CANTEEN and MIXI Global Investments, China’s Gamirror Games and Taiwan’s Taipei Computer Association. The expanded lineup reflects the event’s growing emphasis on international business development. National pavilions typically bring companies and industry representatives together to establish contacts, explore publishing and distribution opportunities, and seek partnerships across markets. For Southeast Asian studios, the event offers opportunities to meet international publishers and investors, while overseas companies can use the gathering to connect with regional developers and explore local markets.

According to the organizers’ official announcement, the 2025 edition attracted 206,159 attendees from 95 countries, including 5,590 business visitors from 81 countries. Organizers also reported more than THB 1.22 billion in business negotiations. These are organizer-reported figures, rather than independently verified revenue, and provide baseline for the event’s growth without guaranteeing comparable commercial activity in 2026. The business area and conference will run October 29–30, with access reserved for industry professionals and media. The conference will feature more than 80 speakers from 27 countries, headlined by Doom and Quake co-creator John Romero. The public entertainment area will run October 30 through November 1, featuring gaming showcases and activities.

With four additional national pavilions and a record number of represented countries and regions, gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show is strengthening its position as an international gathering for the games industry. Whether that expanded presence translates into more partnerships and business opportunities will become clearer after this year’s event.
