GamesCom And Pokémon World Championship Trailers Reveal New Pokémon

Another day another Pokémon Sun and Moon trailerThis time we are treated to two new trailers. The first came out during GamesCom and the second debuted during the Pokémon World Championship earlier today, according to Serebii. Since they are both kind of short we will be doubling up.

You know the drill, thanks to the Pokémon website.

First on the list is the positively punchy Crabrawler and it may look like a crab, but Crabrawler is a straight Fighting-type. As you might have guessed, it loves to box and punching things in general. While it likes to be up high, Crabrawler instead chooses to punch the trunks of trees to get berries to fall.

Following up the fighting crab we have a pile of sand, and its evolution a sand castle. Named Sandygast, it only appears when the grudges of other Pokémon seep into the sand. So, “in essence, it’s a possessed lump of sand!” Sandygast has the ability to possess children should they grab the shovel on its head. It’s evolution, Palossand, can possess adults forcing them to build sandcastles for it. The two also have the new ability Water Compaction which raises their defenses by two when hit by a water attack.

There is only one way to describe our next Pokémon, and I believe Agnes from Despicable Me says it best. Stufful is the prevolution of Bewear, and like it’s evolution it’s fluffy. Unfortunately for Stufful this means that people always want to hold it which it hates. If anyone tries to hold it, Stufful will “flail its arms in protest”.

Lastly, we have Turtonator, a Fire/Dragon-type. Due to living in volcanoes and eating sulfur its shell is coated in the stuff making it highly explosive. Turtonator’s explosive shell comes into play with its exclusive move called Shell Trap. At the start of its turn Turtonator will set a trap and if it gets damaged that turn an explositon is triggered, dealing massive damage to the attacking creature.

Pokémon Sun and Moon will be out November 18th for all Nintendo handhelds.
