Gamescom 2014: Amplitude Studios’ Dungeon of the Endless Heads to Xbox One

Award-winning indie developer based in Paris, France, Amplitude Studios makes their way to this years Gamescom 2014 in Cologne, Germany with their rogue-like dungeon-defense game, Dungeon of the Endless. The game currently has a PC version on Steam Early Access, and it will be coming to Microsoft’s Xbox One through ID@Xbox, which it will be keeping the key features of the popular PC version, “turn-based combat, strategic tower-defense construction, RPG exploration, loot collecting, and eye-catching pixel-based retro graphics – and will be optimized for the Xbox One gamepad.”

Back in December 2013, Dungeon of the Endless launched as an Alpha in Steam’s Early Access program, and since then there have been massive amount of players who have downloaded this rogue-like dungeon defense game, and there has been rave fan reviews. Players on the PC version of Dungeon of the Endless, have gotten to experience a retro 2D look with modern 3D graphics. In the game, players will equip a team, gather resources, construct defenses, and explore a massive amount of dungeons, in order to get to the planet’s surface. Every new game that you start will be just that, new, being that you will get to experience a totally new and randomly generated map, and collect resources just like those you could see in Amplitude’s popular 4X strategy game Endless Space (Dust, Food, Industry, and Science). But collecting, constructing, and exploring aren’t the only things you will be doing, players will be battling against an armada of alien armies, all while you are trying to find your way out of the dungeon.
