A new adventure is about to begin. For gamers who enjoy farming simulations and Harvest Moon like games, Serenity Forge is currently developing a new simulation / role playing game titled Homestead Arcana. Published by Skybound Games, Homestead Arcana offers a mixture of farming and supernatural.  Players will take on the role of a witch. They will start on an undeveloped homestead. This will be the place where players will farm and learn spells. The lands beyond the homestead have been ravaged by miasma, a dark force that corrupts life.

In the trailer, magic is seen to be hand in hand with the farm style of the game. The main character is able to grow plants and speed the process with magic by using water spells to water and bring life. When a player successfully grows crops, they are able to either use it as food or use it as an ingredient for potions. Players will have to venture out into the wilds, where the miasma flows uncontrollably. Life is distorted here and warped creates into ferocious beasts. Use spells, potions and equipment you craft along the way to survive these perils trails. Players will have the ability to customize their character’s outfit and create what their ideal witch would look like. As you explore further into the map, explore ruins of previous settlements and discover new plants and recipes while also learning about the world. Players will only have one party member in the game, a cat named Huckleberry. Huckleberry is a familiar who will assist you during your time in the miasma. You can check out the full trailer here.

Homestead Arcana is slated to be released this month, April 21, 2023 and available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
