Galvanic Games President Announces The Studio’s Closure

Indie game developer Galvanic Games has recently revealed that it will be shutting down permanently. The announcement came yesterday on the studio’s official Twitter/X account.

According to Galvanic Games founder and president Patrick Morgan, the studio wasn’t able to keep afloat despite the successful sales of their latest game Wizard With A Gun, an online multiplayer survival shooter game released in October 2023. The dwindling expenses weren’t enough to push the studio through “signing new projects” or deal negotiations with  DICE and GDC.

Morgan continued, expressing how proud he was if the studio for the accomplishments that they had made.

“There’s a certain bittersweetness to knowing that we accomplished all the things we set out to do when we founded Galvanic in 2015,” wrote Morgan. “From launching unique, weird, and interesting games to collaborating with some of my favorite people in the industry all while building  a tight-knit productive team, focused on a healthy and creative culture.”

“…Thank you for the support and memories. We are greatful for the journey and hope that our paths will cross again in the future.”

Founded in 2015, Galvanic Games was a Seattle-based studio that specializes in combat multiplayer games. Some of their most notable games include Wizard with a Gun, Some Distant Memory, and Gurgamoth.
