The Switch Edition of Friday the 13th comes with the Slasher Edition which includes all released content up to this point, including single-player challenges, every available Jason skin, and the Virtual Cabin exploration mode. Unfortunately, new features will not be added to the game as the game underwent a copyright dilemma some time ago. This was due to a legal battle between the writer of the original Friday the 13th film and the current rights holder. This kept developers from creating anything new to the game besides fixes. While this game may never get more updates, Illfonic is currently working on their next asymmetric multiplayer game in Predator: Hunting Grounds which is set to come to PlayStation 4 next year.
We may not see new content, but the move over to the Switch is likely to increase the player base. The game can be purchased for $40 right now if your looking to put on the hockey mask and cause some terror wherever you may be.
