Frequently Asked Questions Page Confirms Quidditch Will Not Be Playable in Hogwarts Legacy

There has already been a lot of news surrounding Hogwarts Legacy in the past few months. Although it has been delayed until February of 2023, there is still a lot of information that is being released to fans. Now, fans are learning that the game will not be featuring any playable quidditch matches.

Recently, the game’s official website posted a frequently asked questions page for fans to check out. On the page, one of the questions revolves around the ability to play quidditch in the game.

“Quidditch is not playable in Hogwarts Legacy.” says the FAQ page. It continues to say that “However, broom flight for traversal and broom race challenges are part of the game. Players can also fly brooms to explore new and familiar locations surrounding Hogwarts Castle.”

Adding quidditch into the game could take a lot of work for the developers due to the small intricacies of the game. Although players cannot participate in quidditch games, there is an ability to race broomsticks around Hogwarts.

In another question, the page says that “Broom flight is a method of travel in Hogwarts Legacy and there are also broom races. Players can take a Flying class to master their broomstick flying skills.”

Having the ability to ride a broomstick in the game will be one of the most exciting features for fans of the Harry Potter series. Although the game does not currently have quidditch matches, fans are surely hoping that the feature will be added to the game after it is released.

While the game was originally supposed to release in the holiday season of 2022, it was pushed back to February of 2023 to allow developers more time. Hogwarts Legacy is set to release on February 10, 2023, and will be available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, and PC.
