Forza Horizon 3 First Expansion Detailed: Blizzard Mountain

With It being a month since the big tease about Forza Horizon 3’s first expansion, Microsoft announced in a post today everything you need to know. The first expansion has been dubbed Blizzard Mountain and will include a plethora of new content to keep Forza Horizon 3 relevant to gamers.

The new update will mark the first time in Forza history where players will find themselves racing in, “snow, ice, extreme elevations and blizzards to challenge players in their quest to become the King of the Mountain”. Along with the snowy scenery, players will gain access to all new cars and races to use with this new challenge. Oddly enough, the Blizzard expansion will be being released on December 13th, sound the time when much of the US is covered in snow.

In the Xbox Wire post, they revealed that there would be a whopping 50 new events and challenges for players to compete in such as hill climb, blizzard, and descent game modes. In addition, there will be 28 new achievements worth 500 Gamerscore.

Blizzard Mountain is a mountain paradise for car fans, full of adventurous terrain and challenging driving conditions. New areas like the extreme sports snow park and a massive frozen lake make this the ultimate snowy playground for players’ favorite vehicles. In addition, players will find bonus boards to smash, beauty spots to enjoy, and a brand new hidden Barn Find vehicle.

As for the cars mentioned previously, there will be seven other cars added to the game not including the new barn find. These vehicles include the 2016 Ford GYMKHANA 9 Focus RS RX, the 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept, 1965 Ford F-100 Flareside Abatti Racing Trophy Truck, 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4, 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Group B, 2016 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR-Rockstar Energy Pro 2 Truck, and the 2016 Subaru #199 WRX STI VT15r Rally Car.
