Fortnite Tests New Non-Violence Mode

First discovered by Fortnite data-miner Lucas7yoshi, Epic Games later announced the official release of Party Royale mode. In this mode, players will be free to explore the island as they please without the worry of being killed by other oncoming players. They are able to do activities such as driving around, and skydiving as many times as they want.  As Epic Games says in newly updated in-game announcement, “Welcome to Party Royale, a new experimental and evolving space. All chill, no sweat. Leave your weapons and mats behind and hang out with friends, play games, perfect your skydive, and more. The party’s getting just getting started,” Other friend based activities include single racing and team racing, similar to the modes in Mario Kart.

This model is taking place on a smaller island than the traditional battle mode, along with many custom activities to complete to pass the time. Along with that, there holds the ability to build and maintain a city space, travel in groups around the main spots of the island, go to dance clubs, and play different sports with your friends such as football and soccer. Other past Fortnite events included the Travis Scott virtual concert, where players were subjected to number of virtual worlds while they jammed to the rapper’s hits, and other new updates that come with Fortnite’s v12.50.

With this update (released May 1st, 2020)  comes new modes such as a spy game mode. This new minigame, titled “Operation Payload”, involves players splitting into teams of eight and tracking down or protecting truck as it tries to get to its destination. Players will also be able to receive new items and play more smoothly with the new bug fixes both to the main game and to Fortnite Creative.
