Yesterday, fans of Fortnite got the chance to see what’s next for the game as Epic released the Story Trailer for the next season of the game. Today, Season X officially released. The season dubbed Out of Time sees that “Time is twisted and the Zero Point has become volatile in Season X. Whether you’re nostalgic for the past or excited for the future, there will be plenty for you to discover all Season long. Locations once thought to be lost have begun to appear on the island, but they aren’t the same as they once were…”
One of the biggest things that is being brought to Season X is the new mech vehicle, the B.R.U.T.E. The vehicle crashes on the island as the Battle Bus takes off and is able to seat two players which makes it best with a partner. Another big thing comes with this season’s Battle Pass. Missions allow players to unlock rewards by completing a series of thematic objectives that will send you on adventures across the island. Once you get the new Battle Pass, the X-Lord and Catalyst Outfits will be unlocked instantly. As you progress through the Pass, you’ll get rewards like Dual Pickaxes, emotes, loading screens, Outfit styles, and more. Once you reach tier 100, the Ultima Knight Outfit becomes available. The Battle Pass is also able to be gifted to a friend. It is available on all platforms until August 15. Your first purchase also includes a unique Gift Box for you to use when gifting items from the shop.
The Save The World mode is also getting something new at the start of the new season with a new Limited Time Event. “Help beloved characters make the treacherous journey to the Radio Station so they can broadcast their Song of the Summer. The Storm is deadly if you stray too far from the Hover-Truck, yet better equipment awaits those willing to face danger. You’ll need to make plenty of stops along the way so be sure to gear up in order to prepare for the final defense!” Lockers are also now available to Save The World. The Locker includes Emotes, Music Packs, and Loading Screens to start off the season. More items will appear in future updates.
