Fortnite is Adding Captain America to Celebrate the Fourth of July

During this time of social distancing and being that staying at home order is a must, Epic Games decided to bring in a little fun addition to the game of Fortnite and have fans of the Marvel Universe play a part in this amazing addition. Epic Games has announced that they will be bringing one of Marvel’s most iconic character, Captain America. Captain America will be joining Fortnite as a new skin to celebrate the Fourth of July.

Epic Games has made this announcement for their battle royale game, Fortnite will be receiving another crossover from the Marvel Universe for Captain America tie in with the American holiday. This is not the first time Fortnite has done a crossover like this with a Marvel character. The most recent one they added the “fourth wall breaker” Deadpool to the action as an unlockable portion of the title’s Chapter 2 Season 2 pass.

On their official website, the Fortnite Team talked in detail about Captain America arriving in Fortnite. “Assemble in Fortnite this week and get The First Avenger… Captain America! Debuting today in the Item Shop, Cap’s Outfit includes two items: his Proto-Adamantium Pickaxe and Back Bling. Wield the shield as your Pickaxe, or display it proudly on your back.”

With other crossovers being Black Widow and Star-Lord being part of Fortnite playable skins as well. From the Avengers: End Game crossover it allowed players to utilize iconic weapons from the Avengers which included Captain America’s shield and have players take on the role of the notorious Thanos in an event prior. With all these amazing characters from the very well-known franchise, these crossovers have been very successful venture for the two companies.

With this new addition to the Fortnite game, Captain America will be a great addition to the popular battle royale game, and fans of both of the game and Marvel Universe will very much enjoy this. Fortnite’s Captain America skin is available now for a limited time.
