Epic Games is showcasing its latest Fortnite collaboration with the new Elements event, which brings cosmetics, items, and quests based on Nickelodeon’s hit Avatar: The Last Airbender series to the game from April 12 to May 3, according to a Fortnite Blog post.
The Waterbending Mythic has been in the game for the past few weeks, and the Elements event is adding the remaining three elements: Earthbending, Firebending, and Airbending. Each of the Mythic items can be found in the new water, earth, fire, and air shrines, each of which holds a Bending Scroll Container. Here are the descriptions for the four new Mythic items:
- Waterbending: Give your opponents the cold shoulder by hurling sharp, icy projectiles! Also, with this technique in your inventory, your Health will steadily restore up to 100 while you’re in water.
- Earthbending: Summon chunks of earth to hurl at foes or use them to create defensive barriers.
- Firebending: Produce flames to launch arcs of fire towards foes, or slam down from above in a fiery explosion.
- Airbending: Harness the air around you to enhance your mobility. Use “air wheel” to traverse great distances, or “air jump” to launch yourself and nearby players into the air.
The event comes with a mini Battle Pass, the Elements Pass, with both Free and Premium Reward Tracks, each with 11 unlockable rewards. Among the rewards included in the free track are the My Cabbages! Emote, the Four Elements Banner Back Bling, and Sokka’s Space Sword as a Pickaxe.
Purchasing the Premium Rewards Track for 1,000 V-Bucks, or $7.99, automatically unlocks the Aang outfit and its LEGO Style. Completing the track unlocks the Air Nomad Staff Pickaxe, the Momo Messenger Back Bling, the Elemental Cycle Spray, and the Avatar State Aang outfit
To progress through the Elements Pass, Chi must be earned through special Elements Quests. These quests are divided into six phases, called Chakras: Water, Earth, Fire, Air, Light, and Sound, each of which will unlock three days after the last.
Completing at least four quests from each Chakra will unblock it. Unblocking all six will unlock the Appa Glider based on the series’ signature flying bison.
Outfits for Katara, Toph, and Zuko, the remaining members of Team Avatar (sorry Sokka), will be in the item shop for 2,000 V-Bucks each for the remainder of the event. Each has a corresponding LEGO Style.
The Olympian Mythics will be removed for the duration of this event. It will last until May 3.
