Fortnite and Star Wars Collaborate to Celebrate May the Fourth

Fortnite has recently announced collaborations with both Street Fighter and the Wu-Tang Clan. Most recently, Epic Games announced that the game will be collaborating with Star Wars once again. This collaboration comes as no surprise since the two companies have begun to collaborate every year in celebration of May the 4th.

The collaboration will bring lightsabers into the game while also unlocking items available in previous years. This year’s lightsabers include green, red, purple, and blue options for players. These colors represent the lightsabers belonging to Luke Skywalker, Kylo Ren, Mace Windu, and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

In addition to the new lightsabers, non-Battle Pass outfits are available for purchase as well. These outfits come from previous collaborations between Fortnite and Star Wars that happened in recent years. Available for purchase include an Imperial Trooper, Kylo Ren, Zorii Bliss, Finn, Rey, Sith Trooper, Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, and Krrsantan.

The collaboration will also be bringing the E-11 back into the game as it is the weapon used by Stormtroopers throughout the original trilogy. The gun will be available to players in chests as well as checkpoints that the Stormtroopers set up around the island.

The Stormtroopers are also heavily involved in some of the new quests. The quests include riding a “landspeeder”, testing out lightsabers, and more. The quests, along with the gear, will be available until May 17 at 12 a.m. ET.

Although the collaboration is not a big surprise to the Epic Games community, it is still exciting to see Fortnite add more content for their players. Fans can likely look forward to more collaborations between Epic Games and other large franchises.
