Five Nights At Freddy’s: Sister Location Launches This October

If you’ve been jonesing for some new videos showcasing YouTubers’ ability to overreact to a camera, then you’re in luck! According to Polygon, the Steam page for the upcoming fifth installment of the popular Five Nights At Freddy’s franchise, Sister Location, revealed that the game will be hitting Steam shelves this October. Just in time for Halloween, funny how things just work out like that. There isn’t a solid release date beyond the promise of October so expect an update in the near future clarifying exactly when the game will be out.

The FNaF franchise has become a staple among the YouTuber community due to the game’s love of jump scares. The game, if you don’t know, sits players in a security room for five nights and each night the animatronic mascots that inhabit the restaurant become more and more aggressive. Their job is simple: survive the night.

This winning formula has carried the formula through four previous sequels, and this fifth game will continue the trend only this time in another location. Here’s the blurb from Steam.

Welcome to Circus Baby’s Pizza World, where family fun and interactivity go beyond anything you’ve seen at those *other* pizza places! Now hiring: Late night technician. Must enjoy cramped spaces and be comfortable around active machinery. Not responsible for death or dismemberment.

In the trailer for the game, you can see that most of the original gang is back, and they look shinier and less blood-soaked than ever. Creator Scott Cawthon added a few new robots to the game as well, a ballerina and a singer.

Previous entries saw a release on iOS and Android, but it’s unclear whether that will continue with Sister Location. Right now, the game is only slated for a PC release sometime in October.
