Google has announced a partnership with EA that will bring five titles to the game streaming service over the next two years. It’ll start with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order available for Stadia in the fall. Then, Madden NFL and FIFA will follow, both coming on a later date. Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, EA CEO Andrew Wilson had this to say about the new partnership. “Cloud is opening up exciting new possibilities for play. In partnering with Google Stadia, we have an opportunity to deliver some creative and innovative game experiences on an exciting new platform.” More news about other EA games coming to Stadia will be given later in the year.
Games that will be on the Stadia store for purchase include Doom Eternal, Octopath Traveler, and Rock of Ages III. Google also highlighted games that will be available first on Stadia. Those games are Crayta which will launch into Stadia Pro and Wavebreak. Multiplayer games coming to Stadia include Embr which launches in Early Access on May 21, Get Packed is out now and first on Stadia, and Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds which is also available now for free as part of Stadia Pro.
For those who want to try Google Stadia, the company recently made Stadia Pro free for two months. The subscription allows you to play certain games for free, provides access to 4k 60 FPS, and provides discounts for purchases in the Stadia store. If you already have Stadia Pro, then the next two months of the subscription is free. Google announced that the next Stadia Connect will happen in the Summer.
