Soon after its release and blowup by game streamers and stream watchers alike, the highly competitive gave Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is having its first (unofficial) tournament next week. Hosted by Esports player and speedrunner “GrandPooBear”, he stated that the tournament will feature a series of events that will end in one streamer winning a $5,000 USD cash prize at the end.
The tournament is open to any streamer that wants to sign up and try their hand at the money (with an emphasized winner takes all no second place style bracket) Under the title of “Fallmania,” the event is set for August 27th. Although there is no other information about the number of rounds that will be played, it is specified that each winner will be able to win $5,000 USD.
In more recent Fall Guys news, streamer Timthetatman was recently trending on Twitter for finally winning a round in the game with 340,000 viewers watching. After his many countless attempts of playing since the game’s release, and his frustrations from the game becoming a meme in the streaming community, he finally found himself winning on August 19th. These comedic frustrations, which had been poked fun at by both fans and other streamers, had finally reached a high point after the official Fall Guys Twitter account poked fun at him as well.
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout became craze on Twitch after its initial release. The game features small squeaky characters competing in a series of challenges to be the last person standing in these battle royals. Each round begins with sixty players, who have to beat said challenges (such as obstacle courses, memory games, and a Hungry Hungry Hippos like game) to move on to the next round. As of now, Fall Guys is $19.99 USD dollars and available on PC and PS4.
