Final Fantasy VIII tells a gripping and epic story about love and war. Players will find themselves immersed with a great cast of characters including Squall and Rinoa, looking to stop the evil plans of Sorceress Edea in her attempt of world conquest. On top of revisiting the classic story of Final Fantasy VIII, players will be able to experience the game with a wide array of enhancements and additional options to further amplify the experience.
One of the noticeable changes is the update in the graphical quality. Several characters, enemies, GF (Guardian Forces), and objects have been refined to look better than ever before. In battle, you can now choose to use a battle booster. This will max out HP and ATB bars and trigger Limit Breaks at any time. You will lose all HP when you get hit by a critical attack that gives more damage than your HP, or by lethal damage. You can also choose to eliminate random counters entirely if you would like to progress through the story quicker as well as speed up combat by up to 3x.
Final Fantasy VIII is yet another classic in the hearts of many Final Fantasy fans and it won’t be long before it is playable on the system of your choice in all its remastered glory. For those excited to get their hands on an old classic Final Fantasy VIII will be out September 3rd for the PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Steam.
