Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo Now Available

After a leak revealed that there would be demo for the highly-anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake leading up to the initial launch of the game, a lot of people were very excited. However, after the delay of the game, many were wondering if the demo was still coming as planned. Now, everyone has the opportunity to try out Final Fantasy VII Remake as the demo has been released. The demo features the beginning of the game, the bombing run mission where Cloud and members of Avalanche infiltrate and destroy Mako Reactor 1.

While the demo is something that we’ve seen already, it offers players the opportunity to try out the new combat-system for the game with a mix or real-time and menu-based commands. You can also play the game as more of an action-RPG similar to Final Fantasy XV with shortcuts that map abilities and spells or play the game as it was before with Classic Mode. Classic Mode is an option players can choose that fills up the ATB bar automatically like in the original game then you give commands for abilities or spells. In the new combat system, you have to attack enemies to fill the ATB bar then you would have the ability to give commands for abilities, spells, or summons.

Progress in the demo will not carry over to the retail version of the game and content may differ from the two versions. In leading up to the launch of the game, the new intro for the game has been released and a theme song trailer released on the anniversary of the game reveals some changes coming to the story. The developers of Final Fantasy VII Remake have also revealed that they have begun development on the next part of the game which will be released in an episodic format.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released on April 10, 2020.
