Final Fantasy IX Is 20% Off For Smartphone Download!

But only for a limited time.

Out today for both iOS and Android devices, Square Enix’s much beloved Final Fantasy IX is being offered at $17 USD as part of a promotion that ends on February 21st. Purchases can be made through Google Play and the App Store, with reports from Kotaku that the game will soon be available on Steam for PC playthroughs. However the release date remains vague.

Originally released 16 years back for Sony’s Playstation, the game has upgraded with high-res characters models and touch screen controls for smooth mobile gameplay. Long time players will be relieved to hear this version comes with a  fast forward button. No need to relive those cutscenes you’ve sat through probably 17 times…hey, but who’s counting?

Be warned, however, the game demands a tone of memory (8GB!) so start deleting all those precious memories selfies off your devices. Android users will need version 4.1 or above, while iOS fans will meet the cut off at 7.0–sorry iPhone 5 users! (This also extends to all iPad and Touch products as well).

Be sure to dump any unnecessary apps and try out FFIX for your tablet or phone.

Buy it before Feb 21st for that 20% off deal at $17.00!
