FATE: Reawakened Is Announced For All Platforms

Publisher Gamigo, WildTangent and Developer Tableflip Entertainment have announced that their dungeon crawling role playing game FATE: Reawakened will be releasing for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, though an official release date has not been announced as reported by Niche GamerFATE: Reawakened is a remaster of the first four FATE games released by WildTangent, FATE released in 2005, FATE: Undiscovered Realms in 2008, FATE: The Traitor Soul in 2009, and FATE: The Cursed King in 2011. The series was originally bound to PC only rand is now available on consoles for the first time.

FATE: Reawakened includes a graphical overhaul to the four main titles including new assets, effects and a brand new user interface as reported by Gematsu. Language support has been added for six languages and the game now includes fully localized voice acting. Controller support is being added for the first time in the series history. Achievements have also been added across platforms.  

In FATE players will assume the role of an adventurer in the town of Grove, you’ll be assigned randomized quest in the Dungeon Gate. Series staples include battling monsters, gathering items, spells, and conquering a dungeon boss. Sequel FATE: The Traitor Soul expanded and introduced new players options, increasing who you can play as, such as a Human, an Orc, a Cogger, and a Shadow Elf warrior.

During the height of FATES popularity it earned second place in PC Magazine’s Role-Playing Game of the Year award the same year it was released reports GoNintendo.

FATE: Reawakened will now be widely available for a new audience. It was recognized as a stand out ARPG for its time and may be able to inspire other indie developers to resurrect their titles of old. Hopefully with this announcement a definitive release date is not too far off.
