Far Cry 5 PC Requirements and 4K Recommended Specs Announced

The launch of Far Cry 5 is still a couple of months away, but Ubisoft has revealed the game’s PC version requirements and given players some insight into “the inner workings” of the game. Additionally, within the game’s settings, players will be able to adjust many visual options including variant aspect ratio support, FOV adjustment, optional FPS locking, and resolution scaling.

“PC has always been a key element of Far Cry‘s DNA, and this couldn’t be truer with Far Cry 5,” said Kirill Bragin, a producer on Far Cry 5‘s PC version. Bragin added that players who didn’t want to mess around with the game’s option menus could still play with optimal settings, as “the game will auto-detect the user’s hardware and will set the matching quality preset and resolution.”

Glenn Carreau: Hi! I'm Glenn: recent college grad specializing in interactive arts and media, writer, game creator and connoisseur, pop culture junkie, and semi-professional fan-artist and blogger. In my free time, I function as an unnecessarily specific gaming encyclopedia. I also play the violin, binge crime/detective procedural shows (still not sure why), and do a large amount of digital painting. I'm probably too attached to Dragon Age, but not really inclined to do anything about it. I'm a huge fan of cosplay, foxes, the prose of Jenny Lawson, and Strong Female Characters™.
