Earlier today, developer and publisher, Fairyship Games released a trailer for their upcoming, Testament: The Order of High Human. Respawn Station goes in depth describing the game as a first-person RPG with an original story-based adventure that has elements of both RPG and Metroidvania.
The story for Testament: The Order of High Human is about a man named Aran, who was the king of the High Humans in the land of Tessara before his brother, Arva, betrayed him and sent him to a land plagued with monsters, without his powers to aid him. As simple as the story may seem, there is a lot to unpack and develop beyond the premise, which includes the extensive list of features that the game has to offer.
While the trailer does not reveal a large amount of information, IGN details a list of exciting features that will be available in the game including fifteen magical abilities, an XP/upgrading system, fifteen potions with varying effects, over forty different quests (both side quests and main quests included), a non-linear narrative and a combat-oriented around three different approaches.
As of right now, there is no official release date, with the trailer just saying “coming soon,” however the developers have been working on the game for the last four and a half years, so it is well into development. What the trailer does announce is the various consoles the game will be available on. Testament: The Order of High Human will be available on Steam, Epic Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
While the game is not out as of now, there is plenty of information out as of now to get excited for what is to come on all of these platforms, ideally in the foreseeable future.
