Fae Farm is a fantasy farming sim RPG released in 2023. Players can customize their character, farm, gather collectables, explore magical realms, and more while solo or online multiplayer with up to four friends. However, in August 2025, a now-unavailable update was added to the Fae Farm Steam page, stating that updates would stop in September 2025 and online functions would cease to work on September 10, 2025 at 11:59pm PT. Players would still be able to play solo, and the game was soon delisted from the Epic Games store. The update previously available on Steam read as follows:
Important Update: Fae Farm will be going offline September 10 at 23:59 Pacific Time. Fae Farm will no longer be playable online and will not receive any future updates. Its single-player offline mode will remain available.
The update regarding end of service is now gone, however, following news of a new publisher taking over maintenance of Fae Farm: Gambit Digital. The acquisition was announced through posts on Fae Farm and Gambit Digital social media accounts. It was accompanied by more good news: players will still be able to play with their friends using online multiplayer during the transfer between Phoenix Labs and Gambit Digital.
We’re excited to share some wonderful news: Fae Farm now has a new publisher and the adventure in Azoria continues! 🌿
✨ Multiplayer servers are still online and should remain available during the transfer✨
We’ll keep you all updated as we go!🧚

Gambit Digital, to many, will seem to have appeared out of nowhere, Fae Farm being its first acquisition and subsequent game under the publisher. Fans of the game may seem worried, but the Gambit Digital team seems to be an accomplished group of people passionate about the game industry. Gambit Digital’s website lists those on leadership and provides links to their LinkedIn accounts. Notably, CEO Zac Antonaci was VP of Publishing and Marketing at Kepler Interactive and, before that, Director of Publishing at Frontier Developments. The name Kepler Interactive should be familiar to many, as it is the publisher for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a game that many are considering a contender for game of the year. Frontier Developments is the game developer behind games Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo.
The website lists off the services that Gambit Digital will be providing, including shadow publishing and post-launch support. A full list of the services provided can be found on the Gambit Digital website. For those unfamiliar with shadow publishing, it is a scenario where the game developers maintain their IP and revenue from the game (sales, merchandise, etc.), and pay for publishing services, which can include marketing and production planning. It is exciting that Fae Farm will continue to support online services and that a new publisher seems to be ready to step in to help games stay alive.
