It’s been a few years since the development of Everspace 2 began. The game received an early access version that was available on Steam back in January 2021. After 2 more years of development and revisions, the game has officially launched for PC. Everspace 2 is a fast paced open world spaceship shooter game which was developed and published by ROCKFISH Games. It was developed using Unreal Engine 4.
Players will be taken to the outer reaches of space, exploring colonies and other terrestrial worlds. Ravaged by war, players will follow the story of Adam, who is a clone of a deceased pilot. After finding the body of original Adam, the clone sets off to escape the Demilitarized Zone also known as DMZ. He makes plans Dax who claims there is something of high valuable hidden in the DMZ and that obtaining it will be there way out. They must do it all while evading the Colonial Officials, warlords, and hostile aliens. Along the journey, Adam will meet old and new friends and recruits them to his team with Dax who’s stories will also be explored.
As a pilot, players will fly a ship into battle and shoot their way through enemies. The game will have a customization system for ships. Ships will be fully customizable and with a plethora or designs and add ons, players will have control of weapons, speed, defenses, navigation and mobility. The ships will be used to travel through the cosmos in the open world setting of space and travel off to planets, mining fields and other space ports set in the game.
