Surprisingly enough, we seem to still be getting more Kingdom Hearts 3 news in the form of “leaks.” With the last batch of news confirming the Monster Inc leaks, which surprised many late last year, it’s hard not to look more closely on anything else that may come up having to do with the game. However, none of these leaks are confirmed as of yet, so all of these points should be taken with a grain of salt.
New information coming from “outsourced work” that has surfaced on the /v/ board of 4chan reveals information on an unannounced world, as well as details for the next trailer. The alleged leaks state that Jungle Book will be the next announced world for the upcoming action RPG. Jungle Book, being a classic Disney movie, is a quite a change from the last two Pixar films that have been announced for Kingdom Hearts 3, but many fans expected this to appear within the highly anticipated sequel.
The leak also confirms some characters from the film that will join Sora and his gang on their journey as party members, such as Mowgli and Baloo. They also said that there will be new instances in which Athletic Flow will be shown in all news ways along with a new keyblade, its transformations, and an all new summon. If that wasn’t enough there is supposedly a new Theatryhtym minigame being added into the mix. They also describe some notable scenes that will be seen within the trailer; here is the full list of “leaks” below:
- Jungle Book is the main focus of the trailer. Mowgli is a party member alongside Baloo who can perform duel link attacks, similar to SDG Trinity.
Introducing more ways to use Athletic Flow in the trees as well as against bosses. - Bagheera and Shere Khan will be in the trailer alongside Kaa (Footage of Kaa’s boss battle).
- A new ‘summon’ will be shown. How it is activated is unknown but Simba will emerge from a rock, roaring loudly before pouncing on Heartless and attacking them.
- Pete and Maleficent are shown again as well as an unamed female Organization member (Whether that is Larxene or someone else).
- The trailer begins with SDG walking around a town with white houses stacked on top of each other and huge windmills. They come across the sign that reads the name of the town. (Possibly Cable Town?)
- The next scene starts with Baloo and Bagheera being attacked by Heartless, which SDG save them and have a conversation stating Mowgli has been taken by Louie.
- The Keyblade is shaped like the tree Baloo scratches his back on in the film. The Keychain is of a wolf. One transformation is turning into a swinging tree that Sora swings on, kicking enemies.
- The Theatrhythm minigame will be featured in the trailer.
- The trailer shows off more of Monsters Inc and Hercules.
- The final scene is Sora entering a room and walking towards the window with chess pieces on, looking surprised.
- A tease of a Keyblade transformation silhouetted, promising the next trailer will be at E3.
Although this is a surprise, it is quite plausible as Square Enix will be holding a fan event for the franchises mobile title Kingdom Hearts Union X (Cross). So it might not be completely out of the question for the trailer to show up there. The “leak list” also says that the new trailer will have an ending similar to the one at the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra trailer, with a silhouette of Sora doing a new keyblade transformation along with the confirmation of a new trailer at E3. This is quite a bold prediction but with all the leaks that have happened up to this point, it may be worth keeping an eye on.
