Indie developer based near Paris, Tindalos Interactive and publisher Focus Home Interactive, brings us the new Real-Time Strategy game, Etherium, which is exclusively for PC and is planned to be release in Q3 2014. Tindalos Interactive announced today the release of their new website for Etherium, and also four new game screenshots that shows us Mars.
Etherium’s new site allows for both mobile and tablets to navigation, you will find game mechanics, gameplay, and more. In addition to the information, you will also find a gallery of images and videos, where you can see the four new screenshots that were revealed today, which takes you into Mars.
In Etherium, there are three empires that are having troubling times to keep etherium stable, which you can only find this resource in a handful of planets. Players will be taking control of one of the three empires, where depending on which empire you choose, the characteristics, strengths, weaknesses, technologies, and special skills will all be different.
“Mars is one of the 6 deposit planets for etherium, the extremely rare resource for which the armies of the Consortium, the Intari and the Vectides are locked in a merciless struggle. Humanity discovered etherium on Mars several hundred years ago during their first attempt to colonize it, as evidenced by the many ruins of industrial plants that were built to extract this precious resource. Today, a battle is raging on the Red Planet and the Consortium, mobilizing most of its troops on the ground, appears determined to keep control of the planet!”
Etherium allows you to test your strategic skills in online mode, where you will be competing with up to four players. If you don’t want to go online mode, players will be able to do solo campaign, where you are free to decide how you progress through the campaign. Gather resources, grow your colonies and take control of the map that will lead your army to crushing your enemies. You will be able to take control of units that include, infantry, tanks, aircraft, and “even gigantic colossi of war several dozens of meters high; real machines of destruction!”
Watch the war begin in Etherium, below:
In Etherium, players will be impacted by the weather system that is in the game, depending on the weather you will need to strategize on what your plan will be against your enemy. Sandstorms allow you to be unseen, while if there is a freezing river you can for a rearguard attack. “Each of the 6 planets has diverse environments, and varied terrain that will force you to adapt your strategy: arid desert, swamps that impede tanks, icy worlds, island archipelagos…”
