Epic Hosting The Fortnite Summer Block Party This June

It seems like each new season that rolls around in Fortnite the game only continues to expand its reach along with the overall success of the developers at Epic. With the immense success of the ongoing Fortnite World Cup, more exclusives being announced on the Epic Games Store, and after battling its way back to the top of the streaming charts, it doesn’t look like there’s any end in sight. What big event will be next? Well, Epic has announced the first ever Fortnite Summer Block Party that will be held this June.

This two-day event will take place at the Forum in Inglewood, California and will bring together community members of Fortnite to celebrate the game, content creators, and competition. Epic has outdone itself and announced a host of celebrities that will be competing or performing in some form including: Dillon Francis, Kitty Plays, Cray and Jordan Fisher, Brendon Urie from Panic! At The Disco, and of course Ninja.

That Saturday, June 15, celebrities and streamers will fight it out in a tournament in creative mode. Eight teams of four will be set to take the stage in a player-made game that is “designed specially for this event.” Sunday, June 16, will bring back the fan favorite Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am, which will be broadcast live alongside most of the events. Both of the days will be streamed on YouTube, Twitch, Mixer, and more for those fans and players who cannot make the trip.

Fans will be delighted to see their favorite character skins and map locations come to life! More than 20 Fortnite characters will be dressed in-person at the event such as Fishstick and Peely. And guests will also be able to play some Fortnite Mini Golf, grab a burger from the Durr Burger, buy a slice at Pizza Pete’s, glide on the island’s ziplines, board the Pirate Ship, and eat from many other in-game restaurants. Epic is promising an amazing weekend for fans and will even be offering a real-world Battle Pass for those days so visitors can earn some merchandise.
