Amplitude Studios recently announced the delay to their hotly anticipated title ENDLESS DUNGEON to October 19, 2023. This delay will affect all versions of the game including PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S and Nintendo Switch releases. Game producer of ENDLESS DUNGEON Antoine detailed the studio’s reasons for the delay in a blog post on the studio’s website.
The delay is largely due to the developers needing more time “polish the game and solve some of the bugs” for a smoother gaming experience. Additionally, player feedback on the various OpenDevs in the game’s development have spotted key areas where developers “…would like to dedicate extra time to”. These key areas being the game’s meta progression, game economy, general balancing, and other areas like improving multiplayer and onboarding new players.

Despite the disappointing news, Antoine announced some surprises for the game’s community as a thank you for their continued support. Three additional free skins will be offered for early buyers and those who pre-orders when the game is released for a limited time. Additionally, the Closed Beta unlocked with the “Last Wish Edition” purchase will still be happening; that said the date has been pushed “closer to September.”
Lastly, Antoine announced that an ongoing closed playtest with players from previous OpenDevs is looking for more members in the future. Those that are interested in participating should watch Amplitude Studios various social media and blogs for announcements when they open spots for participants.
General Manager and CCO of Amplitude Studios, Romain de Waubert gave a statement the news, expressing his gratitude for and the importance of player feedback.
“We’re grateful and honoured that players are looking forward to playing ENDLESS DUNGEON. The feedback we’ve received across our OpenDev sessions so far has proved to us that we truly have something special on our hands and we want to ensure we have time for the game to reach its full potential.” said Waubert. “Players have always been at the heart of our studio’s philosophy and releasing ENDLESS DUNGEON in October will allow us the extra time to keep working with the community and polishing the game for an amazing day-one experience.”
