One of the most anticipated games of 2022 is almost here. From Software’s Elden Ring is set to launch later this month on February 25 for multiple systems, including the PC platform. Speaking of which, the developer has just released their PC requirements list for those who are looking to run the game on their setup. According to the actual list, the requirements are not terribly demanding, as is the recommended side, meaning that a large number of PC players will more than likely be able to play this without having to break their bank for a new setup or more upgrades.
As you can see in the image above, From Software is not asking a whole lot from the PC community in terms of performance in order to run this title. The initial spec required to even start the title up is an Intel i5-8400, a five-year-old processor that is more or less out of date. This is followed up by the graphics cards for both Nvidia and AMD with the GTX 1060 and Radeon RX 580 respectively. Arguably the biggest demand from the requirements is the RAM amount, which is around 12 GB, as some people’s setups have around 8 GB, but this is still a quick fix.
As for the recommended side, it doesn’t jump up a lot only asking for the next graphic card in each line with the GeForce GTX 1070 and the AMD Radeon RX Vega 56. The processor jump is two roughly two levels from the previous one with the i7-8700K, but this is once again the standard in the PC gaming community. While we won’t know for sure just how the game will run until we get our hands on it, we know at the very least that it won’t require us to max out setups just in order to play it. Either way, we won’t be waiting much longer.
Elden Ring will launch on February 25, 2022, for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
