Following reports that a new look at the highly anticipated Elden Ring would be coming soon, it seems that footage from the next game developed by From Software has leaked. The footage appears to be part of a gameplay trailer and it has a montage of combat, boss battles, and a look at horseback combat in a large, open environment. The trailer is being circulated in online chat groups, but you can find snippets of footage being shared on social media too.
This is from an old internal trailer that was going around late last year. The trailer that will be released this month is going to look different.. better. Please remember that this is old.

Over the weekend, GamesBeat reporter Jeff Grubb and Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier both said that they believe that the game will be shown soon. Then, Aaron Greenberg, GM, Xbox Games Marketing responded to a report saying that the new trailer, possibly the one that has been leaked would be revealed later this month at an Xbox event. Greenberg said that this isn’t going to be the case.
I know lots of people are desperate for Elden Ring news. I don’t know much about it (except that it’s been delayed a bunch). But there is strong evidence floating around that the game will be shown relatively soon. It’s not going to pull a Winds of Winter. Elden Ring has pages

Just to set expectations: this is not happening. There are always things we have in the works, but nothing coming soon that would feature game announcements or world premieres like this. https://t.co/nO868SCbpZ

Whenever the game gets shown off, it’s still going to be a while until you’ll be able to get your hands on it. VGC has reported the game has been delayed several times internally due to the COVId-19 pandemic.
“People with knowledge of the game’s development told VGC that production has been significantly hampered by remote working restrictions, which have been in place for nearly a year,” Andy Robinson said. VGC also reports that the game doesn’t look like it will be released this year. “One person close to the game’s development said that, due to the disruption, they believed it was unlikely Elden Ring would make it out this year.”
It’s possible that the reveal may come from the publisher, Bandai Namco. They have trademarked Bandai Namco Next, which many are speculating could be the publisher’s version of a Nintendo Direct or State of Play. Nothing official has been announced but the trademark was filed in December and was approved towards the end of January.
