The hype for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor grows even larger as the release date on April 28th gets more closer. With that, EA has revealed the PC requirements, but the real eye-watering spec included in the list, the file size. A whopping 155Gb of space will be taken up for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. That massive file size in games today is incredibly rare, most AAA games come in anywhere between 60-80Gb typically. However, there are certain games that come along that makes you reconsider what’s already installed in your storage. Of course, as games get more expansive and detailed in the current gen lineup, 100Gb or more games have become slightly more common while still being standout. 2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2 saw a 150Gb install size, Destiny 2 also comes in at 165Gb, and famously nearly every Call of Duty game now is nearly 200Gb. The previous Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which released in 2019 on last-gen consoles was only about 60Gb.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor developer Respawn Entertainment has released more story and gameplay trailers recently which substantiate that hefty install size. When it comes to the exploration, Respawn has said the environments are all larger, and rideable mounts will be included in some locations for the more spacious terrain. There’s also more in-depth customization for our protagonist Cal Kestis, from character cosmetics to new combat stances like wielding two lightsabers and the crossguard lightsaber and Force abilities.
For those wanting to know if their PC will be able to run Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the minimum system requirements EA listed include 8Gb of RAM, Ryzen 51400 CPU, and Radeon RX 580 GPU. EA’s recommended requirements come in at 16Gb RAM, Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, and RX 6700 XT GPU.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor releases later this month on April 28th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
