EA Announced The Release Date For Sea Of Solitude, New Jo-Mei Project In The Works

We last covered Sea of Solitude back when the studio completed recording and began preparing the game’s launch. At long last, the wait is over! The upcoming EA Original, developed by Jo-Mei games, has finally been given a release date. Earlier today, Electronic Arts (EA) posted the official release date to Twitter, as well as revealing a new teaser. The short clip mostly contained scenes from the previous trailer, however, there were a few new shots included.

Along with EA, Cornelia Geppert, the creative & art director for Jo-Mei Games, also took to Twitter to happily announce that the highly anticipated project is currently set to release in just a few months.

For anyone unfamiliar with the project, Sea of Solitude is a puzzle-style adventure game set in a world where those who become overwhelmed by feelings of loneliness can transform into unrecognizable monsters. The story follows Kay, a young woman who has begun her own transformation. She will soon discover that only by interacting with these creatures, and learning more about their past, can she overcome her own loneliness.

It has been a very productive year for Jo-Mei. Not only will the studio be wrapping up Sea of Solitude, but the team has already begun working towards their next title: Sands of Sorrow. Not many details have been revealed as of now. While the project is very early in its development, Geppert has teased some artwork currently in the works which can be seen below.

Sea of Solitude will be playable on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Pre-ordering is now currently available for all three platforms. If you would like to ensure that you can play the game on launch day, visit the game’s official EA page and order your copy now. Miki Allen: Hello! My name is Miki (pronounced just like Mickey Mouse) and I am a young writer working towards a career in film and video game writing. I have recently discovered that I DO NOT want to be a doctor, and have been studying Creative Writing and World Cinema. I love storytelling more than any subject, and would probably watch, read, or play anything given to me just to know how it ends.
