The Atlus booth showed a Persona 5 gameplay trailer at E3 today. The trailer was introduced by Morgana and the introduction included the English voice acting for Morgana. When building up the upcoming trailer Moragana referred to the game “not your run of the mill teen fiction.” The Atlus booth will not be streaming their attractions in English but this did not stop people from recording their game play trailer.
The game play trailer was fully in Japanese, despite Morgana’s English voice acting. The trailer shows off the usual Persona style. The game play trailer included shots of the game’s setting which has the vibrant colors and stylized designs that the Persona series is known for. The game also showed the dialogue screens, and character interactions. Keeping up with the style of Persona they dialogue screens appear in that stylized visual novel and almost manga like style that is the game’s hallmark.
Throughout E3 Atlus has various panned events such as a character design talk, an autograph session with Shigenori Soejima, and a Q & A session.
The game is set to be released in Japan in September of this year and February 14th 2017 in North America for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The game is already available for preorder with an option for a Steel Book version or the “Take Your Heart” edition of the game, for the PlayStation 4 version of the game, that will come with a variety of collectible items that were detailed earlier this year.
