E3 2021 has officially begun! Kicking things off is Ubisoft with its next Ubisoft Forward. We already had an idea of what to expect with the announcement of Rainbow Six Extraction and the announcement of Far Cry 6’s release coming later this year. Despite what we know and what was leaked, there were still some surprises in store. Here’s a rundown of everything that was revealed during the E3 2021 Ubisoft Forward.
Earlier this month, Ubisoft announced that Rainbow Six Quarantine would now be named Rainbow Six Extraction. The first look at the game came during this presentation. Branching off from Rainbow Six Siege, Extraction is a cooperative game that takes inspiration from the co-op game mode in Siege.
Rocksmith+ is a new subscription service for Rocksmith. It will be available later this year for PC, console, and mobile later this year.
Riders Republic was announced last year. This year, Ubisoft shared a first look at how the game works. After being delayed, Riders Republic is set to come out on September 2, 2021.
New updates for Rainbow Six Siege includes crossplay and cross-progression which will be coming at the end of the month on June 30 to Google Stadia. Crossplay and cross-progression will be available between PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna. Both will be available between Xbox and PlayStation in early 2022. A new animated trailer featuring Thunderbird, the new Defender coming to Siege was also released.
A new look at what’s next for some of Ubisoft’s live service games was shared. A new trailer for For Honor Year 5, Season 2. Brawlhalla’s new fighters are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Trackmania and The Crew 2 are getting updates for the Summer. Watch Dogs Legion: Bloodline is getting Adian Pierce and Wrench added into the game. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint will be getting new content in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the franchise.
Just Dance 2022 was announced. The game will bring in 40 new songs including Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels, by Todrick Hall. The game will be released November 4 for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Google Stadia.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be getting a second year of new content. New free events and updates will be available for all players. Asassins Creed Valhalla is also getting its own Discovery Tour mode, set to release later this fall.
A new look at Far Cry 6 was revealed with a cutscene between main character Dani and antagonist Anton and his son Diego. Ubisoft also shared a first look at the Season Pass with content featuring the past villains of Far Cry 3, 4, and 5.
After initially being leaked earlier this morning before the show, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope was officially announced. This time, Mario and his friends have to save the galaxy with the help of new friends.
Lastly, after initially being announced years ago. the first look at the Avatar game was revealed. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is coming next year for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
