It’s still quite awhile away from the next E3 but the excitement still gets buzzing from the mere mention of the legendary gaming event. Last year’s E3 was one for the books with lots of reveals and a record breaking attendance. It looks like plans are already being made for E3 2018 and it starts with a new look! In recent news the organizers for the convention have announced that for E3 2018 the yearly convention will be getting a brand new logo.
The new logo will have the E and the 3 positioned horizontally instead of the traditional vertical position that we’ve gotten accustomed to seeing. The organizers of E3, the Electronic Software Organization said in a statement that the new logo has a “familiar color scheme, but the design is updated for sharper performance on modern digital applications.” E3 2018 is now scheduled to run from June 12th through the 14th at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The convention will continue to be held in LA up until 2019 but it is currently unknown what will happen after that.
The ESA expect that E3 2018 will exceed last year’s number of exhibitors and games which was well over 300 exhibitors showing off 2,000 productions. Potential exhibits can get information on getting a space at E3 2018 by visiting the Exhibit Sales page on the official E3 website. In addition to all the exhibitors, E3 2017 was the first year that the convention was open to the public. This brought a lot of newcomers in which brought the attendance up to over 68, 400 people. This included 15,000 public tickets which were sold for the fist time in the history of the event.
