Both of their last games have been going on for over ten years now, and only recently have they confirmed that a sequel is in the works. These truly are some insane feats. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 will take place in the year 1000, so a thousand years after the main story of Dragon Ball. The main cast of the series is now long gone, or technically, in a way, they return as in the trailer, we got a good look at the overworld of the game, West City, and it lives up to its futuristic look, with its architecture and vehicles. The way people interact sells the year 1000 look. We got a continuation of the first trailer for the game, where our custom character will be enrolled in a school to learn about the world and become a galactic patrol agent. We got a good look at the combat, and it looks amazing straight out of the manga and anime. As mentioned before, the original main cast of the series is gone. Still, with the new gimmick for the game, our protagonist John 1000, as many have dubbed him, will be able to turn into the original cast and harness their powers, which is honestly really freaking cool. The game, unfortunately, is still a ways off, as we have an official release in 2027, which just means more trailers and hype buildup.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is easily one of the most highly anticipated games to be coming out, as not only the Xenoverse fandom but the overall Dragon Ball fandom has been looking for something new for ten years. Though it’s sad that the creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama, passed away a little while ago, his legacy continues, and learning that the main character of Xenoverse 3, as many have lovingly dubbed John 1000, is the last character he created makes it all the more special.
