Doom’s Open Beta Is Now Open For PS4, PC, and Xbox One

Starting today, the once closed beta for Doom is now open to the public. In the beta only two game modes and two maps are available to be played on. You can only play a 6v6 Team Deathmatch or Warpath on Heatwave and Infernal. Team Deathmatch is just your regular run around and kill your enemies for points kind of mode, but Warpath is more like domination in that you have point to capture. However, in Warpath the capture point is constantly moving around the map rather than being three static points on the map. In Heatwave you will be fighting in a UAC industrial facility just waiting to be painted in the blood of war. While Infenal is based in Hell and has more magical properties to the map.

There is a rather large selection of weapons that you can use in the beta.  The weapons available for you to use are: Rocket Launcher, Plasma Rifle, Super Shotgun, Vortex Rifle, Static Rifle, Heavy Assault Rifle, and Lightning Gun. The only power weapon available to you is the Gauss Cannon. Lastly, you have your equipment which includes: Frag Grenade, Personal Teleporter, Siphon Grenade.

You better join this beta quick because it is scheduled to close tomorrow, April 17th, 2016 at any time since the specified time has not been clearly stated yet. Doom is scheduled to be released on May 13th, 2016, so Bethesda has already begun to plan ahead for the game. They have already begun to plan the game’s DLC’s which would cost $15 each by themselves or $40 for all the DLC’s with the season pass.
