On April 2nd, Disney and PerBlue announced that their new mobile game called Disney Heroes: Battle Mode will be released later this year. The mobile game is an RPG that will feature “Disney and Pixar heroes battling together in the same universe in all new ways”. Players will be able to experience exciting 5v5 match-ups with popular Pixar and Disney characters from the movies “The Incredibles, Wreck-It Ralph, Pirates of the Caribbean and much more.”
Partnered with Disney, PerBlue is collaborating with its animation studio to create fierce battlegrounds for the well-known characters. The game will feature a “deep bench of characters”, where gamers are able to “collect and transform 30+ Disney and Pixar heroes”. With Pixar’s and Disney’s growing roster of animated characters, modifying them to a player’s liking will surely give the game an individualistic appeal. However, the fun doesn’t end with personalizing each character. Gamers will be able to team-up with with any character from either the Pixar or Disney universe. So players should feel free to come up with some unprecedented match-ups. And if players aren’t battling each other, they can “lead characters through a corrupted digital world that they’re charged with saving from an evil virus.” Lastly, the game will feature “epic abilities and gear”, where gamers can activate gear, level up, and much more.
Disney Heroes‘ familiar RPG mode intermingled with the convenience of a mobile device gives the game great potential. PerBlue confidently shares the same feelings, excited for the RPG that “marks the first game developed between Disney and PerBlue”. To celebrate this collaboration milestone, players are able to pre-register for Disney Heroes: Battle Mode on Google Play. Upon pre-registration, players are promised “a free hero of their choice at game launch”. The game will soon be available in the App Store and Google Play.
