Dishonored offered a number of different powers to assist you in killing off your targets, so there is no real surprise that Dishonored 2 will continue this tactic. The Developers had testers come in to try the game out, and what some of the players did really surprised Bethesda. Whether they take out these combos or not it is amazing just how creative a player can be with these abilities.
For example, one of the players found a very fast and efficient way to kill a bunch of enemies in one move. The new protagonist, Emily Kaldwin, has two abilities to make this deadly combo. The first is “Domino that lets you link enemies together to eliminate them all with just one kill and another called Doppleganger, which produces a copy that can be used as bait or a distraction.” So what you could do is use Doppleganger and link all the enemies to each other and then use Domino to eliminate them all at once. In response the developers at Bethesda said “We had no idea this was possible, we never planned this. It’s just one of those systemic game mechanic interactions that clever, creative players figure out as they start to experiment.”
Another example is a player summoned a doppelganger to try to lure enemies into a trap by attempting to place a mine nearby with the power razormines, but he actually put the mine on the doppelganger. So when the enemy arrives they chase after the doppelganger, but since the doppelganger has a mine attached to her when the enemies catch up they set off the mine and they all explode into tiny pieces.
It is unclear on whether these methods will remain in the final product, but it seems that Bethesda supports this kind of creativeness from their players. So maybe when you get the chance to play you will be able to find a new creative combo to take out your targets in style.
