Dishonored 2 Gets Daring Escapes Gameplay Trailer

Once again Bethesda has proven that Dishonored 2 has great potential to be on of the best games of 2016. In a new trailer, ‘Daring Escapes’, Emily and Corvo show off their stealth abilities to escape nearly undetected.

Delilah, a mad witch armed with powerful black magic, has seized the throne from Empress Emily Kaldwin, leaving the fate of the Isles hanging in the balance. As either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano, travel beyond the legendary streets of Dunwall to Karnaca– a once-dazzling coastal city that holds the key to restoring Emily to power. Armed with the mark of the Outsider and powerful new supernatural abilities, hunt down your enemies and forever alter the fate of the Empire.

In the trailer it’s obvious that the most prominent and useful skill for Emily is her use of Far Reach to move around her enemies without being seen. She takes the high route to move above her targets and take them out using her Doppelganger. She then teleports to her doppelgänger through Transposition, covering tremendous ground quickly.

Corvo on the other hand showcases his ability to take over an enemy using Possession. Then from there he goes from host to host, remaining undetected through Chain Host. What sets Corvo apart in the trailer is his ability to jump off a ledge and perform Redirective Blink, allowing him to air assassinate targets. Time stops during a blink allowing Corvo to aim where he would like to go.

A few days ago I was able to get some hands on experience playing ‘Clockwork Mansion’ and sitting down to talk with creative director Harvey Smith. Click here to see how that mission redefines what Dishonored 2 has to offer.
