Discover Lost Items As They Come To Life In Forgotton Anne

Forgotton Anne is hand-drawn action-adventure about uncovering mysteries and harnessing magical forces developed by ThroughLine Games. While embarking on a quest to return home, the wonders of The Forgotten Land comes to life as everyday objects manifested into souls that have their own autonomy.

Every object that is seen in this world, be it a letter, sock, or an old toy, has been left and forgotten by its owner. In a space that is liminal and without much hope, Forgotlings begin to spring to life as creatures composed of objects that desire to be remembered again. With animation that bears great similarities to the art of Studio Ghibli, Forgotton Anne is composed of a cinematic adventure that focuses on depicting a meaningful story. There is light puzzle-platforming and exploration to be accomplished, as players take on the role of Anne, the enforcer of order in The Forgotten Lands. There is a rebellion forming that is out to destroy her master, Bonku, and herself from returning to the human world who must be squandered before all hope is devoid. Due to this, Anne must discover the truth behind the conflict that is dividing their world.

Anne is equipped with the power of Anima, which is an energy that brings life to her world. This is what players will utilize to solve puzzles and attempt to usher control over the lives of other Forgotlings. As Anne runs and soars through the world, secret areas will be unlocked, and new abilities will be learned along the way. Honest decision-making is an imperative part of success as Anne’s words can alter the tale being told according to the dialogue system at the player’s disposal. This means each individual playthrough can contain its own unique instances, and careful consideration must be taken to ensure Anne can promise a safe return to the human world.

Forgotton Anne is being published by Square Enix, and will arrive to Steam on May 15.
