The Summer Game Fest has officially kicked off today with the a huge and beautiful presentation from The Game Awards hosted by the one and only, Geoff Keighley. Being the first day of the Summer Game Fest, there have already been tons of reveals and announcements. The first day closed out and was elevated thanks to the hilariously-made showcase from Devolver Digital with their usual anti-corporate theme. Below, you can find the showcase and a rundown of everything that was revealed during today’s Devolver Digital 2022 Showcase.

With the hilariously-made video on an anti-corporate, the publishers at Devolver Digital Digital announced and revealed 5 new games:

  • Cult of the Lamb
  • Anger Foot
  • Card Shark
  • The Plucky Squire
  • Skate Story

Cult of the Lamb is an upcoming Rogue-like action game that plays like Hades, casts players in the role of a possessed lamb saved from annihilation by an ominous stranger, and must repay their debt by building a loyal following in his name. Start your own cult in a land of false prophets, venturing out into diverse and mysterious regions to build a loyal community of woodland worshippers and spread your Word to become the one true cult. Cult of the Lamb  is set to release to PC, PS4/5, Xbox and Switch on August 11th, 2022.

Anger Foot is an up-coming “lightning fast hard bass blast of kicking down doors and kicking ass” game that looks like a combination between Severed Steel and My Friend Pedro. Players will crash through the caffeine-fueled fever dream of Shit City, putting the boot to a menacing menagerie of merciless gangsters. Anger Foot is set to release on PC at some point in 2023, but right now there’s a demo available to try out the game!

Card Shark is an adventure game full of cunning, intrigue, and delectable deceit. The developers tease that players will need to play their opponents better than they play their cards. Card Shark is now available on the Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The Plucky Squire follows the magical adventures of Jot and his friends. The game described the story as storybook characters who discover a three-dimensional world outside the pages of their book. The game will have players jumping between 2D and 3D worlds where they’ll be solving puzzles, boxing badgers, flying with a jetpack, and enjoying many more delightful and surprising mini challenges as Jot becomes the hero of a living storybook. The Plucky Squire sets to release in 2023 on all platforms.

The final game revealed was Skate Story. In the game, you are a demon in the Underworld. The synopsis of the game is that the Devil has given you a skateboard with a deal to skate to the moon and swallow it which will result in the player earning their freedom. Players will cruise through The Underworld to a psychedelic soundtrack by enigmatic New York artist Blood Cultures, and additional tracks by John Fio.

You will skate through nine layers of The Underworld, and cruise through streets and surreal landscapes full of waxed ledges, unholy gaps, and tortured demons.  There are over 70+ skate tricks to progress and improve. Skate Story is coming 2023 for PC.
