Today, Capcom took to Twitter and announced that a new demo for Devil May Cry V will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 7. This will be the second demo for the game, with the first one only available on Xbox. Alongside the news of the new demo, Capcom also made note that the first demo is no longer available but is still playable to those who have it downloaded.
The first demo had gamers play as Nero and utilize his particular mechanic, the Devil Breaker arms, which are different variations of a prosthetic arm that can be used in combat. Players also fought with the Red Queen sword and the Blue Rose handgun. Also released with the first demo for Devil May Cry V was more information about the new playable character V. While Nero has his different Devil Breaker arms and Dante can use a motorcycle as a weapon, V comes equipped with demons who can aid him in battle. The demons include Shadow, who is geared for close quarters combat, as well as Griffon and Nightmare. Both Griffon and Nightmare are suited for long range combat. Griffon is a bird-like demon who shoots lighting bolts whereas Nightmare is a towering demon who shoots beams of light.
There are multiple modes that will be available for Devil May Cry V. Bloody Palace is making a return to the series, pitting players against hordes of enemies and bosses. There is also a multiplayer mode called Cameo; when players play online, they’ll be able to see other players fighting demons in their game and will be able to join them in the fight. Devil May Cry V will be available to play on March 8 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
