Square Enix has announced they will be releasing the first story driven DLC headed to Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. The Content has been named “System Rift” and have the return of Frank Pritchard, Sarif Industries’ head of the cyber-security from the previous installment Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
Square Enix released a press release detailing the plot of the new DLC saying,
System Rift, you will re-unite with Frank Pritchard, Adam’s friend and former colleague at Sarif Industries, and assist him in hunting down information on the mysterious Santeau Group. Desperate to get more information, Pritchard targets one of the most secure data banks ever created – the Palisade Blade. In agreeing to help, Adam may also be able to uncover hints as to who the illuminati really are.
System Rift will become available on September 23rd through Playstation Network, Xbox Live, and PC. Players who purchased the season pass will not need to pay anything. All others will need to pay the one time fee of $11.99. The season pass for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be composed of Narrative DLCs as well as other in game features.
System Rift will be shown at PAX this weekend. According to the press release, “Andreas Apergis, the actor behind Frank Pritchard, will join Elias Toufexis and Sascha Dikiciyan for a panel at PAX West tomorrow. Eidos-Montréal Presents: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will take place at the Hydra Theater on Saturday, September 3rd at 3:00PM. They will discuss the upcoming DLC and the return of Pritchard to Deus Ex“.
