Destroy All Humans Remake Has a New Trailer and Launch Date!

The original Destroy All Humans! was released in 2005 as a parody of Cold War-era alien invasion films. At last year’s E3, THQ Nordic announced they were developing an enhanced remake of the cult classic for current generation consoles. The release date, July 28th, 2020, was revealed today coupled with a brand new game trailer.

The trailer showcases similar gameplay to the original, with obviously far improved graphics and effects. It follows the same concept of an open-world action-adventure, packed with wacky destruction and chaos. THQ Nordic was actually able to get the original voice actors on board for the reboot. This includes fan-favorite J. Grant Albrecht, the voice of the main character, Crypto. He can be heard at the end of the trailer complaining about how his suit is going to get dirty.

Upon launch, Destroy All Humans! will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The console version of the game will retail for $40, while the PC version will sell on steam for ten bucks less at $30. The PC version, however, is only for Windows and requires at least 25 gigs of storage space. This reboot is full HD and complete expansion of everything players came to love about the original game. Pre-orders are open on all platforms and will come with a complimentary skin pack that includes an Evil Clown, King of Rock and Roll, and more.

There are two versions of the game available for pre-order. The DNA Collector’s Edition ($150) comes with a premium collector’s box, featuring a Crypto’N’Cow figurine, keychain, six lithographs, an anti-stress toy, and all in-game skins. The Crypto-137 Edition ($400) comes with everything listed for the DNA Collector’s Edition, as well as a Crypto-137 figurine and a wearable Crypto backpack. PC players can pre-order on Steam, while console players can pre-order from their respective marketplaces. For more information on Destroy All Humans! visit the games website here.
